Management training that changes how your team operates

We run small-cohort programmes from our base in Scotland. Each one is built around real workplace problems your managers face right now: difficult conversations, resource allocation under pressure, and the gap between strategy documents and Monday morning reality.

Our programmes

Each programme runs with a maximum of eight participants. That limit exists so every person gets direct feedback on their own scenarios, not generic case studies.

New manager foundations

For people promoted in the last twelve months who still feel like they are doing their old job plus extra meetings. We cover delegation mechanics, one-to-one structure, and how to give feedback that people actually hear. Participants leave with a 90-day plan they have already stress-tested with peers in the room.

3 days, in-person

Operational decision-making

Aimed at mid-level managers who own a budget or a delivery timeline. We work through prioritisation frameworks using your actual project data (anonymised if needed). Two days of intensive scenario work, followed by a half-day review session six weeks later to see what stuck and what needs adjusting.

2.5 days, blended

Remote team leadership

Managing distributed staff is a different skill from managing people you see every day. This programme tackles asynchronous communication, trust-building without physical presence, and the specific challenge of giving constructive criticism over video. Entirely online, run across four half-day sessions over two weeks.

4 half-days, online

Difficult conversations clinic

A single intensive day focused on performance reviews, disciplinary meetings, and delivering unwelcome news. We use role-play with trained actors, not other participants, so the pressure feels genuine. Each person records at least two practice conversations and reviews them with a facilitator before leaving.

Strategy-to-execution bridge

Senior managers often receive strategy from the board and are expected to translate it into team objectives overnight. This two-day programme gives you a repeatable process for breaking strategy into quarterly milestones, assigning ownership, and building review cadences that catch drift early rather than at year end.

2 days, in-person

Bespoke in-house programme

If your organisation has twelve or more managers who need the same development, we design a programme around your internal language, systems, and actual pain points. We interview stakeholders beforehand, run the sessions on your premises, and deliver a written evaluation report within three weeks of completion.

How a programme works

Pre-programme diagnostic

Two weeks before the start date, every participant completes a 25-minute self-assessment and a short interview with their facilitator. We use this to understand what they struggle with day-to-day, not what their job description says they should be doing.

Intensive sessions

The core programme happens in concentrated blocks. We avoid spreading training across months of single-hour webinars because the momentum disappears. Sessions alternate between taught frameworks, live practice, and peer review. No PowerPoint marathons.

Workplace application period

After the intensive block, participants return to their roles and apply what they practised. During this four-to-six-week window, each person has access to a facilitator for two 30-minute check-in calls. These calls focus on specific situations that arose at work.

Review and recalibration

The cohort reconvenes for a half-day session. Participants share what worked, what didn't, and where they adapted the frameworks. The facilitator provides individual written feedback. Sponsoring managers receive a summary of themes (not individual disclosures) so they can support ongoing development.

Common questions

Eight is the hard maximum. We have run cohorts with as few as four when a client wanted a tighter group. Below four, the peer-learning dynamic weakens, so we recommend against it.

Yes. Our in-person programmes run most often in Edinburgh and Glasgow, but we have delivered in Manchester, London, and Belfast. Online programmes have no geographic restriction. Travel and accommodation costs for facilitators are quoted separately for locations outside central Scotland.

Open-enrolment programmes range from £650 to £1,400 per participant depending on length. In-house programmes are priced per day plus a design fee. We send a detailed quote within three working days of your enquiry.

Absolutely. Open-enrolment cohorts mix participants from different organisations, which actually improves the learning: your manager hears how someone in a completely different sector handles the same problem.

Our participants have come from financial services, engineering, local government, hospitality, healthcare, technology startups, and third-sector organisations. The management challenges are more similar across industries than most people expect.

Participants receive a completion certificate and a written competency summary. We are not an accredited awarding body, and we are honest about that. Our focus is on practical skill change, not credential collection.
